Anyones thots on tenting/camping along trail w/o any reservations anywhere? Also how esy is it coming into albany and connecting to the empire trail to head north?

Most locks along the trail allow camping. Check with NYS Canal Assoc.
Once you cross the Dunn Mem. Bridge into Renssaeler, look for the signs for the trail. At parking lot there, there is a real toilet and a Dunkin right nearby. heading south you will find it difficult to find camping.
