I am in the planning stages for a trip. I am looking at taking a train from Erie, Pa to Albany, Ny. Any experiences with what happens to your bike? Can you take your Orlieb panniers as a carry on? Where can you buy canister gas for my rocket stove when in Albany? I was thinking of Ubering to Walmart in Albany to get food and other supplies.

The train question gets answered a lot. Search the group for Amtrak, and you will find soooo much info.
