Holley NY along the canal

the park in Holley at one time was open for camping along the Canal. They closed it a couple of years ago. Is it still offlimits as a hiker/biker site?

I called holly last Spring and was told it was closed due to the park getting trashed by partiers.
Write to the town directly and see if that has changed
