The cities are the challenge. Detours. Trail closures. Repairs. I’m on the trail now and got lost in Buffalo, Tonawanda, Rochester, palmyra, and Syracuse. It’s maddening. Trail sigh s where you don’t need them and no trail signs where you do! Keep the ptny.com site handy on your phone to consult their map. I also downloaded to my Garmin the entire trail, but there are changes and detours that will throw you off
