leaving Saturday from Albany and "shuffling" off to Buffalo. Hope to make it by the next Saturday. Plan on camping along the way and explore the local towns. Are there any places we should zip through or avoid? Thanks!!

I really can't think of any. The Trail does go through any number of different locales (small town, city, rural, etc.) but none that I ever felt unsafe in -- if that is the nature of your post.
