Hi Nate, Buffalo to the Tonawanda’s is paved surface but after that, it’s crushed gravel. Not really dirt but you And your friends (and your bikes) will be dusty after a day in it. I think you will find it agreeable as you roll pretty fast considering. If it rains hard, the trail gets a little soupy but it drains eventually. I think around Rochester you pick up some more paved trail but I don’t recall where exactly. I think there’s a thread in here From not long ago that mentioned where that is.
