Contact the Village of Newark for permission well in advance of your planned trip for permission to camp at T. Spencer Knight Park. There is also a campground near the Port of Newark which offers tent camping for about $32.00/night: Whispering Winds https://www.whisperingwindsrv.com They are located at 2 Country Club Drive
