Old Erie Canal State Historic Park at Cedar Bay in Syracuse

Newbie rider preparing for my first overnight ride. Can someone tell me if overnight parking is allowed at the Old Erie Canal State Park? Is this a safe location to park? If not allowed/safe, any suggestions? Reading these posts is so encouraging, thanks.

Not sure exactly where you are referring to. If it is a State Park - you should be able to find a phone number online and ask them if you can. Generally you can find a safe place to park at a local "chain" hotel if you ask really nice and let them know what you are planning.
