Stayed car camping on the night of August 17th. Also had the Cops come and shine their flashlights in my car. I never woke up, caught it on my cars security camera. Not sure they want people camping here.

There is no water, no electricity, and no camping allowed here. We had the police shining us just after midnight. Don't do it!

Lock camping is first-come-first serve and free. You're supposed to call the lock master, but I didn't on my trip. There's lots of space there, but try to get in before dark so you can avoid the goose poop.

This is correct, but there is also a Town Campground next to the Lock. If you were referring to the actual campground, contact the town and find out how reservations are handled.
